Delete your Desha.ai account

You can delete your Desha.ai account and the personal data linked to it at any time: on the web at mednote.desha.ai, inside the app, or by emailing us. Deleting your account never requires an active subscription. To protect your account, every deletion is confirmed with a one-time code sent to your registered phone and a second code sent to your registered email. This page explains the steps, what is deleted, what we are required to keep, and for how long.

1. Delete your account on the web

1. Go to https://mednote.desha.ai and log in with your Desha.ai account.
2. Open Settings, then Privacy.
3. Under Your data, choose Delete account.
4. If you own a family group that has other members, choose for each one whether to hand it over to another member or dissolve it. People in your family who do not have a login of their own are removed unless you hand the family over.
5. Read the confirmation and continue.
6. Enter the one-time code we send to your registered phone and the code we send to your registered email address, then choose Delete account.

Your account is deleted immediately and you are logged out. Before you delete, you can download a copy of your data from the same page with Export my data.

2. Delete your account in the app

1. Open the Desha.ai app and sign in.
2. Tap Me in the bottom navigation, then Privacy & Security.
3. Under Data & Account, tap Delete account.
4. Make the same choices for any family group you own, then confirm.
5. Enter the code sent to your phone and the code sent to your email, then tap Delete account.

If your subscription has ended and the app shows the account-setup screen instead of the home screen, the same Delete account option is offered on that screen.

3. Request deletion by email

If you cannot log in, or you no longer receive codes on your registered phone or email, email privacy@desha.ai with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from the email address registered to your account, or include the mobile number you signed up with. We will verify that the request comes from you before anything is deleted.

We complete emailed requests within 30 days of receipt and reply to confirm when the deletion is done.

4. What is deleted

Deleting your account erases the data that identifies you and the data the app collected for you, including:

• Your account, login, passkeys, sessions and registered devices
• Your profile, profile photo, preferences and emergency contacts
• Your family memberships and invitations; family groups you owned are handed over or dissolved as you chose
• Medication reminders, tasks and scheduled dose reminders, so no further reminders or calls are made
• AI check-in call records, transcripts, call summaries, assistant-side recordings and the facts the assistant remembered about you
• Your messages, community and channel activity, pharmacy refill requests and shared health passports
• Daily tips, feedback and support history linked to your account

5. What is kept, and for how long

• Prescription records, medicine lists and past dose history are retained as a clinical record, as the law on health records requires. They are marked deleted, no further doses are generated from them, and they are no longer linked to your identity.
• Billing and payment records are retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We never store your full card details.
• Residual copies in backups are removed within 30 days of the deletion.

Section 10 of our Privacy Policy lists the retention period for each type of data.

6. Delete some data without deleting your account

• Individual prescriptions and medicines can be deleted from the app or the web app at any time.
• AI voice calls and AI processing can be switched off under Privacy settings.
• Any other deletion request can be sent to privacy@desha.ai.
